I mean it, you get no choice what so ever in what you do. Instead, you are wearing bodies like shells, almost like that one game about wanting more means of ingress, though without the superficial orcs making it fun. It is like the early years of high school, you are stuck learning the same tripe you have already without any specialist subjects. As I’ve already suggested, you don’t create your character, you don’t even pick classes. This brings me back to why it is called Mortal Shell. It also helps that it can be used in attacks.

After a couple of hours though, either you will have broken the TV or broken your habit. At first, it is confusing rewriting your whole brain after several (hundred) Souls -likes to account for this. Mortal Shell itself actually means something, unlike several other titles I could name like The Surge (and The Surge 2 ), Code Vein, and Lords of the Fallen. If you are running when you pass by their spawn point they will command grab you and deal a large amount of damage. Note that there are enemies that drop from the sky at set points along this route. This will let you traverse the map much more quickly, though more dangerous since Tiel has the lowest health of any Shell. To make your farm even better I recommend using Tiel, upgraded with the ability that lets you run without consuming stamina. Just make sure you die somewhere you can easily retrieve your body! When you are done farming you can either pay Thestus 1 Glimpse to get rid of the fog, or simply let an enemy kill you to reset the world state.

When you reach the river take a right follow it all the way down to the end where you will eventually find an enemy camp (where you previously found the Impervious Lute) which is now occupied by a Grisha. Our destination is the river with the poisonous frogs, so cut through the enemy camp on the left and walk down into the water. Spend the Glimpse to activate the fog, then jump off the second floor of the tower and onto the ground below. For the cost of one Glimpse, Thestus will bring the fog back to Fallgrim, covering the map in those demonic enemies, but also spawning two Grishas. Starting from Fallgrim Tower, head upstairs and speak to Thestus.
